The end of the year seemed like the perfect time to talk about changes in social media and creating a social media plan. We had three of our favorite experts and the organizers of Social Media FTW – Rich Brooks, Chrystie Corns and Jaica Kinsman come to share some of their knowledge with us.
Each of the speakers gave us their quick version of what changes they saw this year and what to keep an eye on for 2011. Rich talked about building trust online by making your website and social media profiles look ‘lived in’, having a plan and he said he thinks every business should have a Facebook ‘Like’ page. If you would like a sneak pick of his set list take a look here. Chrystie talked a lot about the power of Facebook contests and coupons to build a following. She also spoke about keeping positive on social networks and to stop using them to complain. Jaica knows all there is to know about Facebook. She talked about upcoming changes to Facebook and how to optimize your Facebook page.
