Who I am
My name is Amanda O’Brien. I am the VP of Marketing at Hall Internet Marketing, in Portland Maine, and an all around Social Media Nerd.
I started hosting Social Media Breakfast Maine in September of 2009. We started with 30 attendees in the conference room of MPX. Now we have grown into what it is today. Since the beginning I have worked hard to make sure each breakfast is full of useful information, applicable and inspiring local case studies and a comfortable community event. No egos here.
Social media, new media, interactive media – whatever you would like to call it – is constantly evolving. There are few true experts out there since it is all developing so quickly. What I hope to do with these breakfasts is connect local businesses with each other, showcase what our neighbors are doing, talk about what is working and what is not, invite local and regional experts to talk to us and inspire us, show that Maine is a great state to do business, highlight the number of tech savvy people in the area and to show that businesses can do a lot of their marketing in-house. That isn’t to much to ask, is it?
